Nudge is a minimalist reminder app for iOS that focuses on simplicity and thoughtful persistence. Unlike traditional reminder apps that bombard you with notifications, Nudge intelligently spaces reminders based on deadline urgency and your preferred intensity level. The core philosophy: get tasks out of your head and trust that you'll be reminded at the right time.
First, make sure notifications are enabled for Nudge in your device settings: go to Settings → Nudge → Notifications and ensure they're turned on. Also check that Do Not Disturb or Focus modes aren't blocking them. Nudge schedules notifications during your preferred time windows (Morning, Midday, Afternoon, or Evening), so make sure you've selected at least one window in the app. If you're still having issues, try toggling notifications off and on again in your device settings.
Nudge offers three intensity levels for reminders. Gentle gives you light nudges with fewer notifications and wider spacing — great for low-priority tasks. Balanced is the default, with moderate frequency that works for most reminders. Persistent sends more frequent notifications, spaced closer together — perfect for things you really can't forget. You can set a default intensity in settings and override it for individual nudges.
SmartAdapt is an optional feature that learns your patterns to send reminders at better times. For example, if you always complete "weekly groceries" on Sunday mornings, it'll learn to nudge you then for similar tasks. It tracks when you typically complete tasks, identifies your productive hours, and adjusts future notification timing to match your rhythm. Your pattern data is stored securely in your account and is never shared or sold. You can turn SmartAdapt off anytime in Settings.
Notification windows are the time ranges when Nudge can send you reminders. There are four options: Morning (7am – 12pm), Midday (12pm – 3pm), Afternoon (3pm – 6pm), and Evening (6pm – 9pm). You can select multiple windows during onboarding or change them anytime in Settings. Nudge will only send notifications during your selected windows, and will always respect waking hours — the final notification caps at 9:30pm.
Yes! Sign in with the same Apple ID on any iOS device, and your nudges will sync automatically in real-time. Changes you make on one device appear instantly on the others. Note that SmartAdapt learning data stays on each device separately since it's stored locally for privacy.
Nudge offers a free tier that lets you create up to 10 nudges total. After that, Nudge Pro is $5.99/month or $49.99/year (which saves you 30%). All subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. Subscribers get unlimited nudges, smart notification timing, progress tracking, and all future features.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store, not directly in Nudge. On your iPhone, go to Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Nudge → Cancel Subscription. You'll continue to have full access until your current billing period ends. If you change your mind, you can resubscribe anytime.
If you've previously subscribed and are setting up a new device, just sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase. Your subscription should restore automatically. If it doesn't, go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases." This will verify your subscription with the App Store and unlock your access.
Open Nudge, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all your data including all nudges, preferences, and any SmartAdapt learning data. This action cannot be undone, and we don't keep backups of deleted accounts. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it separately through the App Store.
We collect only what's necessary to make Nudge work: your nudges (text, deadlines, intensity), notification preferences, and basic account info for authentication. If you enable SmartAdapt, we also store your usage patterns to improve reminder timing. We don't sell your data, don't use it for advertising, and don't share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
